Elevate your autumnal hues with tips from colour expert Safy B

The colder days are surely on the horizon, and while the skies may be duller, colour doesn’t need to be! Salon owner and vibrant colour expert, Safy B of Safy B Salon is sharing some recent client looks that got some colourful love, as well as the formula used to bring them to life.

Blonde meets Viva Magenta

“I began with a scalp bleach application, followed by a toning step using Goldwell Colorance Gloss Tones. I used 15ml of Goldwell Colorance Gloss Tone 10S and 5ml of Goldwell Colorance Gloss Tones 10B to refine the hair’s tone.

For the root tap, I used Goldwell Colorance, combining 10ml of Goldwell Colorance 7NA with 7ml of Goldwell Colorance 7natural for a seamless transition. To bring out the vibrant shades, I introduced Goldwell Elumen Play Pastel Pink and Goldwell Elumen Play Metallic Berry in proportions of 20ml and 2ml Violet, 15ml Red and 30ml Pink.

Edgy and bold

I began with a full head of sliced highlights reaching a dazzling 10G. Next, I pre-toned the hair with Goldwell Colorance 10BS so the hair is ready and prepped for the colour.

To achieve the vibrant colour variations, I used Goldwell Elumen Play: 25ml of Yellow and 10ml of Green mixed with 1ml of Metallic Petrol for a vibrant green hue. I then used 20ml of Pink which delivers a vivid pink shade.

To create the smokey orange effect, I mixed 25ml of Orange with 10ml of Yellow and 1ml of Blue. To complete the look, I thought it was a nice touch to add a grey transition. I applied 20ml of Goldwell Colorance 8SB with 10vol at the roots, seamlessly blending it into 10ml of Goldwell Colorance 10BS and 2ml of Goldwell Colorance 8SB towards the ends.
