For her final model, Egle took things super-saturated. A statement cut and colour combination, it features curated, flaming Pulp Riot shade mixes that only a professional is capable of producing and caters to clients who want the thrill of all eyes being fixed on their hair.

“I chose to work with the same model, Natalia, whom I used to enter the second stage of the competition,” Egle explained. “She’s really lovely and also open to using many different, strong colours on her hair. I wanted to create a fearless mix of shades, so used four tones on the red-to-yellow spectrum, building intensity towards the roots and combining the bold colour with a choppy, punky cut.

“The moods and emotions I associated with this fiery statement look were:

EXCITEMENT
ENERGY
BRAVERY

“I was so excited to be one of the first colourists in the UK use the new Neo Pop shades from Pulp Riot,” added Egle, “and Nuclear is such a vibrant orange – it provided exactly what I needed to add extreme brightness to the hair.  “

First, the model’s hair was lifted to a level 10+ so it was a blank canvas for the bold colours. Next, Egle applied a 1:1 mix of Cleopatra and Nuclear to the panels in front of ears and from the nape up to the occipital bone, before blending Lemon on the ends of these sections. She then created a diamond section on the top of the head and repeated the process, blending from orange roots to yellow ends.

To create a second look with further depth,  Egle added Fireball to the side panels and around the face to give an intense scarlet kick to the shade mix.
