New hair trends, whether they’re colours or cuts, are constantly emerging. But there’s something about summer that gets clients revved up and more excited about transformation â blame it on the carefree energy.

Brights, gradients and texture…
This is big colour season with bright and warm colour placements to suit the natural texture/movement mania. It’s about getting those foils in, featuring all types of lightening techniques from babylights to teasylights to create perfect blends and weather any possible extreme lifts.
Also, gradient toning, where darker roots blend into lighter lengths, is having a big moment this summer too! Everyone is desperate to have their colour done without it looking too obvious, but to look effortless and chic instead. Gold and coppers are the season colour obsession as long as they look bright.
On the cutting front, it’s the season of revival in haircuts all the way from the 90s â with texture the go to. This means it’s the season of c cuts, which are rounded at the back with soft long bangs and shorter at the front. A modern version of the Jennifer cut is perfect for medium length hair while the short and grungy ones are giving more Winona Ryder vibes.
Bobs of all lengths are having their moment this season too, more specifically the bottleneck bob characterised by a soft bangs and a texturised outline and shape. The effortless texture is achievable either by gentle razor cutting or by creating secret layers.
