The first of many collaborations between Creative HEAD and the Paul Mitchell team, this front cover shoot was a celebration of blondes – while it was a sterling illustration of the variety of shades and stylings this popular hue can deliver (according to a Mintel study, 40 per cent of all women opting for a new shade choose blonde), this collection was also a brilliant example of the power of the full-length body shot in a hairdressing photographic collection. It’s a powerful presentation of hair as part of the overall image, and ties hair together with fashion in a far more relevant way, as did the choice of using fashion photographer, Alexander Jordan, to frame and photograph the shoot. Sometimes you’ll see so much more by stepping back…
