Session star Zoë Irwin has developed The Influence Project to educate stylists on references, style tribes, eras and trend movements. Here, watch her Cross Braiding video, inspired by Eugene Souleiman

Spurred on to create fresh education to enable young hairdressers to work with the references shared in the fashion world, Zoë Irwin collaborated with Helen Charlton-Jones and Lauren Smith from That Girl That Edits to create The Influence Project. Each film takes a different influence and explores it visually with a ‘how to’, and slips into the world of the character – check out Cool Girl Waves and Punk Stitching. A frequent collaborator for the NOKI runway shows, this season @nickirwinhair turned the typical hairdressing process on its head, delivering a deconstructed salon experience that hair pros across the globe can relate to. From the layering of foils to half-finished cuts, styling clips and dripping colour, the variety of looks to hit the runway truly took the art of hairdressing to new heights. As well as Nick’s core team, members of the @schwarzkopfprouk 2023 @skpyat team were on hand to get the models runway ready. Come behind the scenes with @nickirwinhair hair at KWK by Kay Kwok S/S24 👀Transporting us to another planet, Nick used the otherworldly clothing as inspiration for the concept of hair barcoding. A futuristic styling detail which was perfect for the group of cool kids which hit the runway, a small gel strip was added in just one area of the hair. The gel ‘barcode’ was then dialled up or down to suit the model’s individual style. We headed to Wella Studios on Monday morning to get a behind-the-scenes look at the @wellaprofessionalsuki TrendVision Award competitors in action before heading over to Magazine London for the #NTVA23 final. After taking a look backstage at the show hair prep from @hob_academy, Wella Collective, @christelbarronhough with @stilsalon team and and @jordannacobella with @cobellasalon gang, the drinks reception soon kicked off in serious style.
