We told you crimping was back!

See how Jamie Stevens and his team got a little random with texture at London Fashion Week A/W18
Stories From Arabia is the largest platform showcasing elite fashion designers from the Middle East during London Fashion Week, and for the A/W18 show, Jamie Stevens and his team delivered patches of crimp to build texture and interest into the hair.
With eight designers on show – Bassma Boussel, Velvet Abaya, Kash5aful, Handmade by Ghita Lahrichi, Maysoon Alshami, Kayat, Zenobia London and Rafinity – the challenge is to find a hair look that works across the different collections. Jamie landed on a relatively simple yet effective technique using a crimper (his preferred tool is the Diva Pro Texture).
“Take random sections, clamp the tool tightly for a couple of seconds at different angles – you’re aiming for a clean pattern rather than a traditional crimp,” he explains. “If you hold it too long, you’ll get more of a frizzy effect.”
Across the different labels, the textured look was then given slightly different plays, sometimes pulled back from the face, or with gel added for a wet look finish.
