We went backstage at London Fashion Week to discover how the styles were created at Simone Rocha and JW Anderson AW18 shows, courtesy of KMS
The hair: James Pecis using KMS
The look: Practical braids
The inspiration: Tied-up tailoring in Rocha’s collection lead James to mirror the collection with three knotted braids, brought together using a silk bow.
The steps: Create a deep side parting on the right-hand side and prep hair with KMS ADDVOLUME Root & Body Lift. At the front, blow-dry the hair down across the face and spritz with KMS HAIRSTAY Workable Hairspray. Clip down and leave to set in place. Next, spritz hair throughout the mid-lengths and ends before roughly dividing into three sections and individually knot each section, starting at the crown and working to the nape of the neck. Finally, gather all three sections at the bottom and tie together with a black silk ribbon.
The hair: Anthony Turner using KMS
The look: Modern 60s
The inspiration: The androgynous collection was replicated in the hair with Anthony Turner creating a sleek, flicked out bob that was inspired by the 60s.
The steps: Create a deep side parting on the right-hand side and prep hair with KMS ADDVOLUME Styling Foam. Blow-dry with a large round bristle brush, rolling hair up at the ends. Next, smooth flyaways at the roots with KMS HAIRSTAY Firm Finish Hairpsray and for a luxe finish, use KMS TAMEFRIZZ De-Frizz Oil on the very ends of the hair to banish dryness and add shine.
