Men’s hair has come a long, long way
When I was a little kid and used to sit in my uncle’s barbershop, mesmerised by him cutting hair, I couldn’t help but think ladies hairdressing was much more interesting.
Fast forward 35 years, and I couldn’t have dreamed that, as a ladies hairdresser, I would be collaborating with the British Fashion Council on London Collections: Men (or London Fashion Week Men’s, as it’s now called).
I’ve long had a burning desire to try and push men’s hairdressing further – to achieve parity, if you will – and I think the tables have now finally turned.
Because long hair is so in vogue with women, it’s the men who are now constantly changing their look… here come the boys!
