Katie Eary’s debut womenswear collection launched with an all-girl skater squad at London’s Maddox Gallery – the first on-schedule presentation for London Fashion Week AW18. The 15-piece collection paid homage to girl power, and was created in collaboration with Cartoon Network and inspired by The Powerpuff Girls.
Taking Katie’s inspiration of both The Powerpuff Girls and 70s skater girls, we created a strong but feminine look, with tough choppy pixie fringes yet softer movement and texture through the top and defined kicks at the ends. We used BaByliss PRO’s Italia Brava dryer and the Titanium Expression 38mm Curling Tong on the core looks and then more of the Titanium Expression Curling Tongs in differing sizes for models with short and/or Afro hair. Titanium Expression is ideal for this situation as there is a tool for every look we want to create.
If you want to recreate this look, saturate hair from root to tip with a sea salt spray. Set the top to create bend and movement and dry with a BaByliss PRO Italia Brava dryer. Blow-dry the ends of the hair to flick out, enhancing the flick with a Titanium Expression 38mm Curling Tong.
