Talented and top notch – meet the crew that created our Christmas cover story

For Creative HEAD’s Christmas cover shoot, Cloud Nine wanted to produce a set of looks that its style-savvy clients would love to rock – as well as create. Cue a five-strong team of brand ambassadors – hand-selected to deliver the goods

When the date was set for Creative HEAD’s Christmas issue cover shoot, our cool collaborator Cloud Nine got quickly to work – the priority for the brand being to find and firm up a super talented team of stylists, who not only would gel brilliantly and work their magic on the day, but who ultimately deserved their spot in the studio.

Auditions were held back in the summer and attended by a mass of Cloud Nine ambassadors, collectively asked to present a commercial ‘effortless’ look’. A multitude of mood boards later, and the judges had spoken. The dream team was announced – let the shoot prep commence…

Growing up in this industry gave me an obsession with hair from a very young age, and I was desperate to get started with my apprenticeship at The Sally Montague Hair Group. Shortly after graduating I furthered my education at the Sassoon Academy and from there I started assisting, which introduced me to the session world. I relocated to Dubai a few years ago to boost my portfolio, and shot for magazines like Vogue Arabia, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar and Stylist, and brands such as Dior and Chanel. But I missed hairdressing at home, so I moved back in July and I’m now art director at Sally Montague. Being named Creative HEAD’s It List It Girl (back in 2013) has been a definite career highlight – alongside working with Cloud Nine, so I was super excited when this collaboration came up. I’ve been working closely with Cloud Nine for seven years, and believe its innovation within the luxury hair tool market has revolutionised the way we style hair – and it’s amazing to be part of the journey. My role is pretty diverse, from designing the education sessions and guiding the style ambassadors to working on numerous creative projects.

As well as looking after my loyal clientele for hairdressing services at The Peachy Studio, I am a session hair artist and educator, which means I travel across the UK and Europe to educate in salon and at events, and style hair for photoshoots, catwalks and campaigns. I am passionate about healthy, beautiful hair, and I like to get creative and push styling boundaries. But for every style I produce I ensure my model or client’s hair is being looked after – which is why I choose to work with Cloud Nine; the high-quality design and temperature control system is incredible. Being a style ambassador is a true pleasure for me – I get to share my love of healthy, beautiful hair across the country!

We tasked the Cloud Nine team to produce a duo of looks conveying four ‘Cloud Nine girls’, and that capture modern, beautiful and wearable hair. Styles clients covet and that they – with a little help from their hairdresser – can create using Cloud Nine tools. These are some of the team’s references…

As creative director of Francesco Group, I have a completely varied job role and every day is different, which I love. Day to day I could be doing anything from delivering advanced education or working with a celebrity, to running my column or shooting editorial for a magazine. I was lucky enough to be a member of the Fame Team 2017, which took me all over the world. I would say I am best known for creating cool, effortless, sexy hair, which fits perfectly with Cloud Nine. I have been working with the brand for five years now, delivering education, styling backstage at London Fashion Week, presenting on stage at trade press shows and filming photographic and video campaign content. I am really passionate about Cloud Nine, so to work on this shoot has been incredible.

I am a full-time stylist currently working at Hari’s Hairdressers in Chelsea, London, and I also work as a freelance stylist for a digital concierge beauty company called RUUBY, where clients book stylists via a mobile app and request my service at their home or work place. Cloud Nine has provided me with great opportunities, which include being involved with this incredible shoot. My key responsibilities as a style ambassador include delivering trends education to salons within London and the South East, using Cloud Nine tools. I am passionate about hairdressing and the most satisfying part of my job is making clients feel great about themselves. I have the ability to influence my clients through my services and skills and update their image, which builds their confidence.

The model casting was AMAZING! We were deluged with beautiful girls – and hair – but these four made the final cut. Meet the Cloud Nine four in the making!

I absolutely LOVE my job! I’m the creative director and owner of Modello Hair and Beauty Salon, on the outskirts of Edinburgh, and this is where I spend most of my time – with a fantastic team and looking after loyal regular clients. The other side of my job is having the opportunity to work with premium professional brand, Cloud Nine – I became an ambassador three years ago and since then I have enjoyed so many opportunities, from photoshoots and international work to attending award ceremonies and assisting backstage at London Fashion Week. I also deliver in-salon session education all over the UK. Education is the key at every stage of a hairdressing career and we’re lucky to be in an industry where employers are willing to invest in our skills. Since I’ve been using Cloud Nine inside and outside of the salon I’ve noticed dramatic results in my work and in the condition of my clients’ hair.
