Creative colourist Sarah Black is sharing her technique on how to get this stunning, ‘90s inspired colour and style

Before

After
“This colour process is the perfect example that one formula doesn’t fit all! Mary had been gradually going darker over the last year, so I knew there was a good amount going of lightness sitting underneath the depth for us to achieve this cinnamon, supermodel look.” says Sarah
“When formulating the result, two main things to consider were Mary’s excessive natural warmth, and the porosity in her length and ends. The porosity was my main concern, because as much as her hair drops out colour quite quickly, it seriously grabs onto depth.”
Get the look
Step one: Cleanse the hair using L’Oréal Professionnel Paris Efassor Permanent Colour Stripper and warm water. Start through the mid-lengths – once you see the shift start happening begin to pull through the ends.
Step two: Once you’ve reached a really warm, level seven, rinse and dry the hair.
Step three: Begin with your colour!
