Glasgow hosts the L’Oréal Colour Trophy 2019 Scottish Regional Semi Final

The L’Oréal Colour Trophy 2019 semi-final heats made their way north of the border last night (March 31), for an evening that culminated in the selection of this year’s Scottish Grand Finalists.

The action took place at Glasgow’s SEC, where competitors battled to make it through to the next stage of the contest.

Judges including RUSH editorial director Tina Farey and Angel Montague Sayers oversaw the live styling, and selected three more talented salon teams and one bright young colourist who will take their places at the contest’s June finale. A further six salons were shortlisted as Best In Region, having been judged to be the very best that Scotland has to offer:

The Best in Region teams will go through to the Shortlisted Judging Stage, run after the semi-finals. All salons through to the Shortlisted Judging Stage will be judged collectively online after the semi-finals by a panel of judges. The judges will select their top 16 from the 32 in the L’Oréal Colour Trophy Category (and 8 from the top 16 in the Men’s Image Award) regardless of region, and these 16 salons will compete at the Grand Final.

The next stop for the regional semi-finals is Leeds’s New Dock Hall, where salons will compete in the North East leg of the competition tonight ( April 1). Good luck to all those taking part, and we’ll bring you news of the next batch of salons who’ll be joining us in London in June first thing tomorrow!
