Colour and creativity were the two key words as Kao Salon Division UK announced the Global Creative Awards 2022 UK & Ireland winners. Who made it to the global competition in Amsterdam later this year? We have all the details…
The iconic Merchant Taylor’s Hall in London was abuzz with energy as the Kao Salon Global Creative Awards UK & Ireland Final kicked off. Which talented artists would be representing their country at the global finals, taking place at the Kao Salon Global Experience 2022 in Amsterdam later this year?
All in good time as first up – the show! Guests were treated to hair by the KMS guest artists who have worked with renowned sustainability visionaries, fashion designers and KMS collaborators, VIN + OMI over the years, with an adrenaline-fuelled catwalk showcase.
Next, Goldwell guest artists took presented looks inspired by each of the seven decades since the brand’s launch. Jack Mead took on the swinging ‘60s, Shane Bennett contrasted the colourful ‘70s and grunge-edged ‘90s, while Jamie Benny went full-on punk for the ‘80s. Nicola Smyth nailed the sleek ‘00s, followed by Lydia Wolfe’s social-media standout look for the 2010s.
We got a closer look at the competitions models and artists as they also took to the catwalk, before the announcement of the winners of three categories.
