The show: Erdem S/S17
The inspiration: 16th Century, wispy and romantic braids, on a girl who’s been shipwrecked and is wandering the blustery shore
The hair: Anthony Turner for ghd and L’Oréal Professionnel
The details: Anthony and the team began by mixing Tecni.ART Pli with Wild Stylers Beach Waves and applied the product to the entire length of the models’ hair. They then blasted it dry using a ghdAir Hairdyer to achieve a beachy, outdoorsy texture. Leaving a few strands free around the face, the stylists then bent the hair in different directions with the ghdClassic Curl Tong, created a middle parting with a ghdTail Comb and then tied the lengths into two pigtails at the nape of the neck.
Stylists then rubbed each plait between their palms to create a “destroyed” feel, and flipped, wrapped and pinned the braids around each other until they layed flat against the base of the head in a tousled knot. After gently pulling out sections around the hair line, the team finished each style by wrapping a matte black ribbon around the models’ hair and underneath the braids, and secured it in a bow beneath their ears.
The products: ghdAir Hairdyer, ghdClassic Curl Tong, ghdTail Comb, plus Wild Stylers Beach Waves and Tecni.ART Pli, both by L’Oréal Professionnel.
