The hair: Maria Kovacs for Catwalk by TIGI
The inspiration: Tough with feminine accents. At the roots, the style was smooth, sleek and hugged the head, whereas the lengths were drier and more textured.
The details: The team began by brushing dry, clean hair through to remove any tangles, before spraying it with Bodifying Spray to give grip. Next, they sectioned the hair off and spritzed Work It Hairspray through each section from the root to the nape of the neck, brushing with a soft bristle brush as they went to distribute the product evenly. Using a net to cover the hair, the team then blow-dried close to the head to set the hairspray in place.
They repeated the process, moving up the head to the crown, brushing the hair back into a smooth, sleek shape that followed the shape of the skull. Before reaching the hairline, they created a slight side parting and continued to spray, brush and blow-dry the hair back away from the face and behind the ears.
At the front of the face, they brushed the hair into a slight quiff, while the hair from the nape of the neck down was left soft and loose. To give the lengths more bite, stylists spritzed more Bodifying Spray and used a brush to lightly dishevel the texture, providing contrast to the tight upper section. To finish, they sprayed Camera Ready Shine Spray around the top of the head for a high shine look.
The products: Bodifying Spray, Work It Hairspray, and Camera Ready Shine Spray, all by Catwalk by TIGI.
