Bringing a little anarchy to The Coterie: In Session studio, Jody Taylor drew inspiration from the likes of Sid Vicious for this gritty, punk masterpiece
Stepping onto a slightly busier cove than usual – just 80 fellow hair professionals along for the ride – Jody Taylor started his The Coterie: In Session set reminiscing on his career, which today sees him lead the teams for some impressive fashion names, as he put it, doing the jobs he’s always dreamt of.
Fitting then, that he chose a modern punk look inspired by his S/S23 fashion work at the Vetements and Fred Perry shows to share with the audience. He went in with a freehand razor to create Sid Vicious vibes, taking out the weight and purposely alternating the length on each section so the hair was sticking out but not too distinctly spiky or punky. He used his BaByliss PRO CustomFX trimmer to create more of a mullet-y vibe, shaping around the ears, before creating more distinct, select spikes.
