Take a deep dive into the creative genius of Most Wanted Legend Eugene Souleiman, captured on camera while
backstage in Paris
“These films have been made by a bunch of extremely creative and talented young people, who decided to film me working backstage in Paris. When you’re with someone every day at the shows, you have conversations that kind of develop into their own narratives and – on this occasion – a film. They’re sort of a documentary, but they’re also kind of not.
So, for example, the first film, for Dazed, was just someone’s girlfriend playing around with a camera; it was done in a day.”

DAZED BEAUTY
“The film for Beauty Papers was done backstage at Margiela. These guys were with me during all the prep days and we were sitting outside at one point and a wig was drying on a bench in the sunlight, and we were saying how great the wig looked… and it just went from there”

BEAUTY PAPERS
“I really enjoying working with people and experimenting creatively, with no real reason other than to enjoy the process. And that, in turn, becomes something else. It’s totally spontaneous. We have complete confidence and trust in each other. The minute you try to control it, you get something predictable. Sometimes I like doing the wrong thing in the right place.”
