Hari's Salon Interior reception
Part of the London hair scene since 1976, Hari’s is the epitome of British hairdressing. Ever expanding and evolving, the brand has continued to go from strength to strength, becoming recognised nationwide and developing a vast client base.

Described by staff and clients as ‘a family affair’, the warm and friendly atmosphere, along with a bespoke approach to business, are key factors in contributing to its success. Coupled with an extensive programme of in-house training across homegrown, talented stylists and colourist teams, the new location on Northcote Road in Battersea delivers that same welcoming environment and relaxing experience.

As the first south-of-the-river locations, the new salon draws on similar interior inspiration to Hari’s existing destinations. Its unique, boutique style is filled with character, and is reflective of owner Hari Salem’s personality.

Working with Kim Partridge Interiors – previous designer of Adare Manor – their vision was to balance serenity with sustainability. The entrance and reception area breathes life into the salon with a moss wall feature, giving a fresh, first impression. The modern styling stations towards the back of the salon are situated in an area flooded with natural sunlight, and the salon also boasts a fresh air system powered by a state-of-the-art, environmentally friendly heat pump. A star-lit, fully reclined backwash area enhances relaxation, and as a wellbeing enhancer, Hari’s clients can enjoy a complimentary face mask from 111 Skin.

A little Hari’s History…
Founder Hari Salem came to London from Iran 45 years ago with a pair of scissors and big ambitions, and is incredibly loved and respected across the talented stylists he has trained through the years. Keen to keep family at the heart of operations, Hari’s son, Lucan Salem, is the director of Hari’s, and also led the new salon opening project. Hari’s daughter and daughter-in-law, both exceptional stylists, direct day-to-day operations at Hari’s Northcote Road.

With an acute awareness of the current challenges facing the industry, it’s these core values which remain fundamental to the success of the salon. Through continuing to build on staff and client relationships, the team are now looking towards the future for fresh, exciting initiatives to build on the brand’s success. The team have adopted a strong digital marketing and community-first approach, resulting in the attraction of new clients while maintaining their existing loyal clientele, subsequently leading them to the establishment of ‘Hari’s VOICES’.
