My Space: douce, Cambridge

Having been crowned It List Entrepreneur in 2018 for his remodelled Airstream salon concept, douce founder Phil Benton has opened an actual bricks and mortar salon, without conforming to the norms. “It was a challenge to move to a larger space and still keep the integrity and unique look of the mobile Airstream salons, but I believe this salon has its own individual flair,” says Phil.  
 
Similar to a concept store, the self-proclaimed lifestyle brand is also home to a café and bar lounge, as well as retail areas for fashion, beauty and local goods. The ever-evolving brand and space is reflective of its sustainable message. Its interiors – rich with greenery, wood, and tan leather – are illuminated by floor to ceiling windows.
