After travelling the world and working in the hair industry since the age of 13, Timothy David has realised his dream of opening his own studio. With a love of vintage AirStream trailers (he even studied them in school), Timothy purchased his own in 2019. So began his ‘labour of love’ renovation to transform it into a lavish mobile hair studio, and bring his vision to life.
After purchasing the trailer on the anniversary of his mother’s passing, he chose to name it ‘Pauline’ in her honour, whose name shines with pink neon inside. “To open my own hair salon in an AirStream has been a dream of mine since I was a young boy,” says Timothy. “After many years of hard work, I am delighted that it has come to light. I chose to name the AirStream Pauline, after my late mother, who has and will always be my drive and inspiration in so many ways.”
Based in Duke of London in the fast-developing Brentford, West London, the iconic silver trailer is home to two styling stations, plus an ultra comfortable backwash surrounded by gorgeous greenery. A warm and welcoming space complete with personal trinkets collected during Timothy’s career, the intimate space provides premium hair services to all individuals across all communities, With prices based on hair length rather than gender.
The Timothy David Studio will also be taking to the road for the Good Revival in September. Timothy and the team will be offering guests ’60s themed blow dries and makeovers within his gender-fluid AirStream.
