Paris Haute Couture: Ralph & Russo A/W16

The show: Ralph & Russo A/W16

The hair: Stephen Low, Creative Director at Neville Hair & Beauty

The inspiration: A coming of age romanticism. A young Tsarina, on the eve of her coronation as she “shed her priceless tiara and flicks lose her hair”.

The details: Stephen and the team began by preparing the hair with plenty of thickening spray, before blow drying it straight with a slight lift on top. They then added hair extensions to each model to thicken out the ends and give a luxurious look. The length of the hair was then tonged in vertical sections, away from the face, with each section wrapped around the barrel two and half times (leaving the last 2/3 inches at the ends straight). The team then combed out the curls,  pushing them into a natural S-wave, before applying Sumotech on the top and side of hair (about 1 inch away from the hair line) and combing through again with a wide tooth comb. Hair was then brought forward to sit in front of the shoulders and given a final gloss with some Spray de Mode.

The products: Thickening Spray, Sumotech and Spray de Mode, all by Bumble and bumble.
