Reflect. Reset. Rebuild. Salon Smart 2020 – The New Agenda

Since the coronavirus outbreak swept the world, It’s been an unprecedented time full stop. For salons owners across the UK and Ireland, closing the doors to your businesses has not only impacted finances but resulted in difficult decisions regarding team and structure, in order to ensure there is a salon to return to when we’re out the other side.  It may be difficult to see it right now, but what we must remember is that there will be an “other side” – this lockdown will end (the current date aimed for is 4 July) and while there will undoubtedly be adjustments to make, what this period of isolation has shown us is that hairdressers are essential in the eyes of clients and they will flood back to your salons at the earliest opportunity.

Therefore, when Salon Smart 2020 returns to the Park Plaza Riverbank Hotel in London on Sunday 27 September 2020, the focus will be on reflecting on recent times, resetting and rebuilding salon businesses. In a new, supersized, one-day agenda, you will be able to talk to, share with and learn from our original line-up of leading experts, so that collectively, as an industry, we can move forward together.

Among the speakers you’ll hear from: Tom Chapman – barber and founder of The Lions Barber Collective, which campaigns for the awareness of mental wellbeing and male suicide prevention, on community, mindfulness and rallying together; Gavin Mills – digital marketer, entrepreneur and managing director of the fast-growing and award-winning Bad Apple salon group, about sustaining your brand identity and amplifying your voice; and salon owners Christel Barron-Hough of STIL alongside Katie Allan of Mayfive, who will discuss evaluating business, tackling hurdles and progression.

And you’ll have the chance to put knowledge to practice in two interactive workshops.
