Revealed! The 2024 ghd style squad is here

The 2024 ghd style squad, one of the best known teams for future hair talent, have been named.

The ghd style squad for 2024 is here, with eight members victorious after battling in a final audition at ghd’s Soho studio.

The new style squad members are:

Mamie Lumsden, November Collective, Livingston
Tom Rowley-Clifford, HB Boutique, Bromsgrove
Georgia Irving, The Loft, Reigate
Hannah Hayes, NOCO Hair, Bristol
Elijah Hourrides, HOB Salons and Academy, London
Rachel O’Neill, Sarah Mason Professional Hair Salon, Galway City

Alice Payne, Headmasters, Orpington.

Under the watchful eye of ghd educator Sarah Dixon, the squad will enjoy a year’s worth of opportunities including hands-on training, session styling, seminars, and more, due to take place across the UK. The team has already spent a mentoring day with ghd trade ambassador, James Earnshaw.

More than 100 fledgling hairdressers applied for the chance to join the ghd style squad 2024, known as one of hairdressing’s most high-profile teams for emerging talent. This became a 20 shortlist who showed off their skills, techniques, and creativity including a mood board presentation at ghd’s Soho studio.

The finalists faced a judging panel that included ghd education manager UK and ROI – and former style squad member – Grant Williams; ghd educator and style squad mentor, Sarah Dixon; and Nicole Croly, ghd’s key account educator.

Elijah Hourrides, HOB Salons and Academy, London.

Rachel O’Neill, Sarah Mason Professional Hair Salon, Galway City.

Grant said: “The style squad is such an amazing experience, and the opportunities are endless. It was career changing for me. I can’t wait for the new squad to get started and experience everything it has to offer!”

Sarah added: “The ghd style squad is such an amazing opportunity and I am really excited to be mentoring this year’s squad. They are all incredibly talented and I can’t wait to see where this experience takes them.”
