Paul Davey started his hairdressing career working for one of Ireland’s leading hairdressing franchise groups before launching independent salon, Davey Davey alongside his brother Ian. With a combined 35 years in hairdressing and multiple award-wins under their belts, the salon quickly became a destination for fashion designers, models, and style-savvy celebrities.

Located in Dublin’s creative quarter, the goal for Davey Davey was to not only offer exceptional hair services but to combine the artistry from other industries from music to food.

Alongside running a successful salon business, Paul has cultivated an impressive session career, working backstage at London Fashion Week, tending to a roll call of celebrities including Cillian Murphy, Ellie Goulding and Christian Bale and styling on editorial shoots for host of international fashion publications such as Strut, Noise, Cosmopolitan and ELLE. He has also collaborated with creative designers Maria Grochvogal, John Rocha, Paul Costello, Phillip Tracy, Joanne Hynes, Topshop Unique and Basso & Brook.

Passionate about making education accessible to all, Paul founded Hairdressing Live, an online academy enabling people to hone their skills by learning from the world’s most accomplished hairdressers.

At Salon Smart, Paul will be joining an expert panel for a live audience Q&A session.
