Four fresh talents will be mentored by top Schwarzkopf Professional experts as new Irish team initiative gets underway
L:R: Emma Dempsey, Eve Markava, Laura OâDowd and Emily Whelan
Schwarzkopf Professional has unveiled the four stylists making up its first Irish Ignite team. Emma Dempsey of House of Colour and Laura OâDowd of Ashleigh Kelly Hairdressing, both in Dublin, join Carlow-based Emily Whelan of Lynda Maher Hair Studio and Eve Markava of BUUHUU Hair in Kildare on the winning squad.
Stylists across the country showcased both their hairdressing and social media skills by creating a short, engaging Instagram Reel for their chance to win a place on Ignite, the brandâs first Republic of Ireland mentorship initiative for young hairdressers.
The programme will be led by Schwarzkopf Professional ambassador Suzie McGill and previous #SKPCollective member Alix Maher, and is designed to help emerging hairdressing talents take their career to the next level. Suzie and Alix will bring a wealth of creative, technical and industry experience, guiding each team member through a programme of training days, content shoots and education, all to help the members finesse their skills in hair, social media, and profile building.
âWe are so excited to offer this opportunity to Schwarzkopf Professional salons in the Republic of Ireland, and were delighted to receive so many fantastic entries, said Kay Brady, Henkelâs national PPS manager for the UK and Ireland. âOur winners have impeccable hairdressing, creativity, and social media skills, as well as unique individual strengths. They show so much talent and potential and have bonded perfectly. We canât wait to build their skills and grow their profiles.â
