IT’S BACK! Self/Styled Sunday is making its grand return on 24 January and we can’t wait. Join us for a digital day of business advice, brand masterclasses and enlightening discussion.
Back in October we hosted our inaugural Self/Styled Sunday event – an epic day of tutorials, talks and panel sessions designed ESPECIALLY for independent stylists. 2020 left us more in need of support and community than ever, and that’s exactly what Self/Styled intends to bring for you.
So, with lockdown once again upon us, we’re holding our second Self/Styled Sunday on 24 January. The day will once again be hosted by Self/Styled editor Deborah Murtha, and includes a mixture of free and ticketed sessions to cater to all independents. Each ticketed masterclass will also give you access to 10 per cent off specific brands at Aston & Fincher, so you can stock up on the products you’ve just seen used!
Here’s a quick run-down of what to expect on 24 January….

STAR INTERVIEW with Mark Woolley
The Business of Change
Mark Woolley is one of UK hairdressing’s most exciting entrepreneurs. His hair brand, Electric, has evolved into a group of award-winning salons, an ethical product line, an education programme and ‘Electric Studio’, with its own photographic and film studio. In 2021 the journey continues, with the launch of an exciting new co-working space in central London. Hear more about this brand new launch, as well as Mark’s passion generally for collaboration, innovation and nurturing talent in an exclusive Self/Styled Sunday interview with Mark and Creative HEAD publisher Catherine Handcock.
4 – 5pm
PANEL TALK: The Wall
We’ve all come up against those hurdles which seem unsurmountable, often without the support offered by being a part of a wider salon team. We speak to three industry veterans who will be talking about their own experiences and how they conquered The Wall on their own journeys.
Featuring: Ashleigh Hodges, Casey Coleman, Carolyn Newman
Hosted by Self/Styled editor Deborah Murtha
Enjoy the full Self/Styled Sunday experience, with access to all sessions including both Masterclasses (and the discounts), for £40!
