After the success of last year’s digital outing, the FHA Inspire! event went live once more for 2021. The mission of this annual inspiration and education event? To unite the freelance and mobile hairdressing community with a day of live presentations and networking opportunities.
Broadcast live from The Hunter Collective in London, FHA founder Sheila Abraham kept the day on track and entertained more than 300 guests who tuned in for a packed line-up.
L’Oréal Professional Paris guest artist Frazer Wallace, fresh off his L’Oréal’s Colour Congress appearance, showcased an on-trend shag cut with his noted attention to detail. Next up, Patrick Cameron was in the hot seat for an interview which covered his business model reinvention post-lockdown. He rounded off his session with some of his trademark bridal up styling, sharing four looks with viewers. “We’re passionate about staying connected and giving our very best to our community and clients,” Patrick concluded.
HAIRDOTCOM Art Team member Harriet Stokes, who starred in our January edition of SELF/STYLED Sunday alongside host Sheila, showcased her deft touch with colour in an inspiring presentation on vivid colours, sharing top tips on how to best work with Pulp Riot’s Vivids.
The fun didn’t stop there, with Wella Professionals digital ambassador James Earnshaw creating a stunning Brazilian Illuminage colour melt using Illumina shades for an adaptable look that is sure to be a coveted colour technique for clients.
The final session of the day was hosted by Indola, with global ambassadors Andy Smith and Paddy McDougall showcasing the brand’s Summer 2021 Street Style collection live for the first time, joined by technical manager Shayne Meadows. Andy and Paddy worked together to talk through the new collection, showcasing live models coloured by Paddy using the new Indola Blonde Expert range and cuts by Andy, who delivered sharp bobs with sleek finishes and shaggy cuts with multiple, wearable layers.
“Inspire! 2021 was a phenomenal success and we are delighted that so many people joined us,” FHA founder Sheila Abrahams said of the day. “Inspire! definitely lived up to its name and the day had everything I could have hoped for. We might be back at work, but it is more important than ever to get together to share, talk and stay connected – and Inspire! gave us all of that. ”
If you missed the day the recording of the FHA Inspire! event is available online in the FHA store now.
