Bridal educator, Heather Robertson, shares how to create this romantic hair up for Bridal Week
Bridal Week is here to serve up some top tips, elegant hairstyles and the must-have products to add to your arsenal. We’ll be sharing our favourite looks for the occasion, with the first bridal up-do coming from Heather Robertson.
Heather talks us through how to create a timeless look in six steps. To create this look, Heather used the ghd curve, ghd creative wand and ghd Curly Ever After curl hold spray, then dressed out the look with Wella EIMI Dry Me and Sebastian Dark Oil. The style was finished with ghd Final Fix hairspray and Wella EIMI Glam Mist.
Step one
To create this stunning look, the first step is to prep the hair loose into soft, romantic waves. The hair was prepared using the ghd Curve and Curly Ever After curl hold spray, then dressed out using Wella EIMI Dry Me, for volume and texture, and defined using Sebastian Dark Oil. Apply the foundation sectioning pattern, starting from the parting to the back of each ear, then horizontally between the crown and optical bone. Place the nape section in an elastic, in line with the jaw to create balance and a strong foundation. Lightly back-comb the top section at the root with a small dressing out brush and secure this section to the main ponytail using a small clear elastic. Split the remaining hair into three sections, each secured with a small elastic and placed into the base of the ponytail by being hooked with a grip. Dress out the front hairline sections and weave into the main chignon using a mini topsy tail, and secure in place with grips. Pinch and pull the structure to create softness and an effortless feel and finish, before accessorising. I used a set of floral accessories from Olive Hair Jewellery. Finally, finish the look using ghd Final Fix hairspray and Wella EIMI Glam Mist. Step two
