PHIL GILBERT + SAM SHAW
Phil Gilbert has been hairdressing for 16 years. For the last nine, he’s been serving a loyal clientele at boutique Brighton salon, Simon Webster Hair, while simultaneously taking on shoots and projects for the likes of suit designer Gresham Blake, Hybebeast magazine and online retail giant, ASOS. In 2015, Phil joined Sam McKnight’s session team and has been assisting him backstage at fashion weeks in London, Paris and Milan – for brands including Chanel, Fendi and Burberry – ever since. Phil will be joined by close friend and portrait photographer, Sam Shaw, who’s beautiful, often cinematic-style work straddles commercial campaigns, music promotions and editorial projects. Hear from this creatively charged duo about the value, power and deeper meaning of collaboration.

From concept design to experiential marketing and events, London’s Sync Studios are all about unforgettable experiences and brilliant brand storytelling. The dynamic duo behind the ingenuity are design and branding director, Ebony Atakorah and creative production director, Damien Bonnet, who have 30 years combined experience rolling out creative campaigns for renowned brands across fashion, beauty and media. Listen in as they deliver a play-by-play of some of their finest work, which has including partnering with Coca Cola, Puma, Pretty Little Thing, Jean Paul Gaultier and i-D.
STEPHÀN VI + ALESSANDRO FRANCO | GLITCH
With the goal of spicing up the salon experience, Stephàn Vi teamed up with Alessandro Franco and created GLITCH, a ‘concept space hair salon’. First launched in Bristol and now with a second location in Brighton – with a new beauty space on the way! – their unique approach is to fuse great hair with incredible in-house food, live music and cool collaborations – like shopping plants from the onsite jungle, or jewellery from local makers. But it wasn’t all plain sailing. Stephàn is the first to admit he tried and failed at different iterations of the salon concept before achieving success when the public were finally ready to embrace the norm-challenging approach. Hear Stephàn and Alessandro, in conversation with Creative HEAD deputy editor, Deborah Murtha, talking careers and coming together to create amazing things.
