The Greatest Hits of 2022: bebop, Holloway

Take a trip down celebratory lane with us as we reflect on the incredible interiors and new spaces to launch in 2022 

If you didn’t catch the first space to make the Greatest Hit list, we are spending December reflecting on 2022’s greatest new locations. Some new ventures, some new on the radar and some new refits… 

This week’s Greatest Hit finds its home in Holloway, North London in the form of stunning ‘70s inspired bebop. Having gained a reputable name since their 2017 opening, bebop salon has made appearances in both TimeOut and Refinery29’s ‘Best London Hairdresser’ lists, meaning client demand is only continuing to soar. Fortunately, in May of this year the team were able to upgrade to a larger location and expand their services to include nail treatments and event facilitation.

 The original venture was that of esteemed hairstylists and friends Pont Smith and Chloé Hervé. Their intention was to shake up the industry, providing a much-needed fresh approach. Priding themselves on offering pioneering hair services, focussing on wearable hair, gender-neutral pricing and carefully selected vegan and cruelty-free products, bebop is proudly inclusive for all clients.

 The interior is a modern twist on ‘70s décor, featuring wood finishes, raw concrete, cork textures, retro furnishings, and splashes of bright colour. All these elements combined evoke the bebop spirit of sleek professionalism with a playful touch. The furnishings are mobile, allowing the space to be opened up for events and private functions. The high ceilings with generous amounts of natural light also create an open environment for clients and staff.
