The power of a (Neo) Pop of colour

Everyone has those clients. The ones who in their heart of hearts, really want to experiment with creative colour, but don’t see themselves with a full head of red, pink or blue. Luckily for them, the use of pigment-packed formulas needn’t be limited to global applications and wild statement hues.

These looks created using the Pulp Riot Neo Pop range are a case in point. The five shades in the line-up are super-saturated, but their ability to be intermixed – along with their shine-infusing quinoa seed formula and their true-to-tone fade – makes them brilliantly versatile, and just as capable of giving a rich autumnal hue an extra bit of spice as they are at creating a fierce flame-inspired finish. Conditioner based to help care for the hair and with a smooth consistency for easy application, they are each PPD and ammonia free, as well as being vegan and gluten free.

Oh, and if clients change their mind? No worries, Pulp Riot’s colour removal solution, Blank Canvas, has got your back. This clever helper can effortlessly wipe the semi-permanent hues from the hair while protecting its structural integrity, returning hair to the base level underneath without any additional lift.

Check out some looks created using Neo Pop shades in the gallery below, follow @pulpriot.uk on Instagram for more, and don’t be scared to drop them a DM to enquire about getting started with the brand.

CARA-MELLOW YELLOW

Dialling up the intensity is a great way for clients to play with their natural colour (and for you to guarantee that the selected tone will suit them). This seamless auburn into sunflower yellow melt by @lorettamarie_hair is the perfect example.

Featuring:

YELLOW: Satire (from the Neo Pop range)

SPICE, SPICE, BABY

Glam up a grown out root with a dash of Neo Pop warmth added to a clear base, just like @hairby.cerys did to create this break-from-the-norm shadow-rooted shade of copper.

Featuring:

ORANGE: Nuclear (from the Neo Pop range)
YELLOW: Satire (from the Neo Pop range)

COOL BANANAS

A cool-toned yellow, without nudging into neon? It's possible, as @hairby.cerys proves with this delicate daisy-hued balayage that pairs an ashy blonde with Neo Pop vibrancy.

Featuring:

YELLOW: Satire (from the Neo Pop range)

24 KARAT MAGIC

Charlotte Walker-Harding (@hair_by_c.w.h_) layered Neo Pop colour over a faded copper hue to give it a new lease of (golden) life! The hints of mustard-yellow and dimensional marigold tones help to nail the '70s nostalgia that's so on-trend right now.

YELLOW: Satire (from the Neo Pop range)
