The epitome of ‘cool girl’ styling, Louis Byrne brought tonnes of natural movement and texture to The Coterie: In Session studio, letting the live audience in on his approach and on-set secrets
Louis Byrne tapped into the mermaid trend predicted by host George Driver, senior beauty editor at Elle UK, with his model, featuring undone texture on long lengths. Recreating a look for pop singer Tove Lo, he prepped the hair with heat activated styling spray layered with mousse – “it’s so important to prep the hair when creating texture.” The BaByliss PRO Deep Waver was his tool of choice on the back and side sections, before switching to the 25mm Curling Tong to detail around the face. Dry shampoo finished the look for a powdery, ethereal appearance.
