Who better to host our Team Talk session than Katie Katon, Lois Allen and Melissa North from Leicester salon group, George’s Hairdressing?

At this hotbed for new talent – previous team members include Rita Ora’s hairdresser Chris Appleton and Layered Salon Star Natalia Maxwell… both It List winners, by the way – staff are taught the core values of the business from their very first day. “Your team are cast members, and when they are in front of a client they are onstage,” explained training manager, Lois Allen.

Emphasis is put on mentoring, sharing and setting goals, to create an environment that allows team members to flourish and progress. This has allowed George’s to work as a team rather than as separate individuals, increasing employee retention, service standards and getting more money in the till.
