Seven years ago, Dawn Montgomery took a job at Gatsby & Miller in Amersham, Buckinghamshire, as a senior stylist. And boy, did she fast impress! Soon standing out not only for her hairdressing skills but for her business mind, too, it wasn’t long before Dawn was promoted to salon manager – a role that’s seen her take pole position in developing and enhancing all aspects of the salon, and ensuring clients can’t get enough of every single service on Gatsby & Miller’s award-winning menu… and that’s certainly something to shout about; the salon scooped the coveted Best Salon Experience title at the 2020 Most Wanted Awards, presented by Creative HEAD magazine.

Today, with more than 26 years’ experience under her belt, Dawn remains as passionate about the industry now as she did when she took her first step inside a salon. Her time is now split between supporting the team – building individual confidence and skill – and continuing to enhance the client journey. Most recently, she has been instrumental in working with tech developers to update Gatsby & Miller’s operational systems in an effort to optimise and further improve the customer experience.
