Gavin Mills is the man behind Bad Apple Hair which, since its 2006 launch, has grown to a 9-strong salon group (two within Topshop) with a training academy, in-house education and apprenticeship programme. With a background outside of hairdressing but with an exceptional knowledge of the industry, Gavin brought a different way of thinking to the business. Drawing on his expertise in digital marketing and experience as an entrepreneur and investor, his disciplined and strategic approach has seen him grow an award-winning brand.
Over the last 13 years, he has established a Bad Apple ethos, which runs through every element of the business, driving the company’s 70 staff members, uniting them in a cohesive thought process and direction. Alongside the salons and academy, the Bad Apple Hair Art Team and in-house photographer exude creativity, producing stunning, trend-led collections.
