Partners in life, as well as in business, Gary Hooker and Michael Young have become one of hairdressing’s most successful duos, with a reputation not just for world-class technical skills, but also fantastic showmanship, a savvy approach to business and a healthy, fun-focused outlook on life. No wonder they command incredible loyalty from their staff.

The couple have stayed steadfastly loyal to their native North East, refusing to move to London and instead opting to build their successful Hooker & Young salon group in the region. They now have five salons, employing over 60 staff, and have a trophy cabinet full of awards.

Returning to Salon Smart by popular demand, Hooker & Young will be demonstrating their awesome artistry in a uniquely exclusive and intimate format that can only found on the Salon Smart main stage. Presenting a series of glamorous models live after dinner on Sunday 26 April 2015, they’ll also be sharing their front cover grabbing photographic secrets and imparting invaluable creative and commercial advice.
