SQUEAKY CLEAN! THE STORY BEHIND THE AWARD-WINNING LAUNDRY SALON
Laundry is the Sheffield salon housed in a former 19th century cutlery works that’s making history of its own, thanks to its incredible approach to business.
The salon, the brainchild of hairdresser Mitchell Wilson and design agency 93ft owner Nick Clark, bears all the hallmarks of this exceptional collaboration – not just a stunning interior fashioned out of rescued woods, luxe leathers, cool concrete and exposed brick, but also as the exciting new Laundry brand, communicated via a spinning logo that’s emblazoned on everything from business cards to T-shirts (take a look at www.wearelaundry.co.uk). Not surprising, then, that Laundry emerged out of nowhere to take the Best New Salon trophy at Creative HEAD’s 2014 Most Wanted awards!
We’re delighted to say that Mitchell and Nick will be appearing onstage together at Salon Smart to explain how they went about creating the Laundry ‘identity’, including a branding and communications story that grabbed them nationwide attention.
