Charles Rose, barber and founder of Crate Cheshire, is launching an online platform to link freelancers with flexible workspaces across the UK.
Pro Space Agency aims to help independent hair pros find short-term, high-quality rental spaces at a time when more hairdressers and barbers are moving away from traditional employment in favour of freelance and mobile working.
The platform allows stylists and barbers to search, book and rent chairs and spaces on a flexible basis, giving them the freedom to work when and where they need, without the pressure of long-term commitments.
At the same time, salons and co-working spaces looking to maximise their income can list available chairs, rooms or stations to be rented by the hour, day or week.
“Having worked in this industry for many years, I’ve noticed a huge shift in the way people are choosing to work. Many stylists now travel around the country for clients, events and shoots,” explained Charles. “With Pro Space Agency, they no longer need to commit to a long-term chair rental, they can find a fully equipped space that suits their schedule and location instantly.”
The platform includes a wide choice of bookable creative spaces that are not limited to hairdressing, such as beauty rooms, photography studios, private offices and podcast booths.
