Neil Moodie unveils new masterclass for aspiring session stylists

Session favourite Neil Moodie is launching The Moodie Method, a masterclass for aspiring fashion and session stylists.

The launch of the two-day masterclass comes as the founder of The Neil Moodie Studio celebrates securing a landmark 60th Vogue cover, starring Pamela Anderson. The class has been designed to give qualified hairdressers the skills, techniques and mindset to thrive in the fast-paced world of fashion and session styling.

Across a 30-year, Neil has styled an impressive roster of global talent from fashion, film, music and culture. Kate Moss, Gemma Chan, Naomi Campbell, LiIy Allen, Scarlett Johansson, Kendall Jenner, Natalie Portman, Cara Delevingne and Gisele Bündchen are just some of the names that have sat in his chair.

Set to take place in March 2026 at The Neil Moodie Studio in London’s Spitalfields, The Moodie Method offers an immersive, hands-on experience for qualified hairdressers eager to elevate their craft beyond the salon chair and into the fast-paced world of fashion and editorial styling.

“The Moodie Method is about sharing the skills and knowledge I’ve gained over 30 years of styling for fashion, editorial and celebrity clients,” said Neil. “These masterclasses are designed to give qualified hairdressers the confidence, technique, and mindset to succeed both backstage and in the salon.”

The Moodie Method masterclass includes:

Beginner-friendly foundation: ideal for stylists entering or curious about the fashion/session industry.

Core techniques: essential hair skills relevant to editorial shoots and backstage work.

Backstage & fashion focus: preparation for the unique environments of Fashion Week, photo shoots and session styling.

Kit knowledge: insights into the tools every session stylist needs in their kit bag.

Mindset & professional conduct: guidance on attitude, professionalism and working confidently under pressure.

Transferable skills: techniques that deliver in both the worlds of fashion and in the salon.

The masterclass is limited to 10 stylists per session, with the first six students to book accessing an introductory offer of £600. Remaining places will be priced at £850. Booking will be available from January 2026 via neilmoodiestudio.com
