Meet Guy, artistic director at Cobella, whose journey from Cape Town to West London brings a unique flavour to all he creates. “I’ve been using Color Touch forever, it’s my absolute favourite brand. Creating my Peach Tea Melt has been super-fun, mixing colour blocking with classic melt to create a unique, personality-filled result that is vibrant, multi-dimensional and absorbing to look at. For me and my clients, this technique is a game-changer!”

Christie’s signature colour looks reflect her infectious, outgoing personality – bold, statement shades that turn heads. “My Red Velvet Melt is a great example of the vibrancy I like to achieve when working with brighter shades – it’s an interesting, intense and multi-tonal result, rather than a solid finish. As a colourist, Color Touch Melts allow me to get really creative, choosing shades that are absolutely bespoke for each individual client, and as Color Touch is so intermixable my options are genuinely limitless.”

Whether they’re based in Brazil, Portugal, Miami or London (“It’s a crazy schedule, I know”), Ronan’s clients have one thing in common – they want hair colour that celebrates their natural beauty and love for life. “I specialise in blondes – it’s the transformation, that moment of surprise that I love. My Blondie Melt is a gorgeous, commercial, sun-kissed look that looks really natural and is so in-demand It’s been exciting creating it with the new Color Touch – it leaves the hair so shiny and soft to the touch.”

The Mocha Melt

Infused with golden brown lowlights, this beautifully natural colour melts honey and caramel shades into a rich mocha brown.

Served by Melanie Smith, Hari’s

Natural yet enhanced hair colour that results in a feeling of ‘you but better’ is what Melanie is known for – she has spent over three decades concocting colour fusions that ensure clients look and feel the best they can. “My Mocha Melt is very typical of the work I do in the salon, mixing warm and cool tones to create a rich, gorgeous, healthy-looking result. I’ve used Color Touch my whole career, and the new formula is super-nourishing and so versatile. If all I had was Color Touch and bleach, I could still create any colour look I wanted.”

A hairdresser with 23 years’ experience, Heather knows what she likes – and new Color Touch is what she loves! “My clients enjoy being blonde and this Marshmallow Melt creates the kind of perfectly pearlescent result they crave. Color Touch Melts are great for my business because they’re so versatile – you can create something very chunky or gently blended, you can go vertical or horizontal, you can go high-contrast or very natural. It’s a great way to dial up and dial down blondes for maximum personalisation using any colour palette. The consistency of new Color Touch means I can blend really precisely and seamlessly. Melting Pot

Wella’s new Signature Service is the Color Touch Melt – a technique that blends three to five shades to create unique, multi-dimensional couture colour. The new upgraded Color Touch, with its thicker, no-drip consistency, means you can blend precisely and seamlessly, creating a result with intense colour vibrancy and shine.

The finishing touch

On hand to serve up some styling was Jack & The Wolfe’s Jack Mead. Turning his attention to Blondie, Mocha and Red Velvet Melts, Jack delivered a variety of on trend styles, keeping the looks cool and relaxed to fit the vibe. “The hair has to have a beautiful shine to show the colour results, but we want to create that feeling of being in a restaurant with friends, so nothing is too ‘done,'” he explains.

Key products for achieving the relaxed vibe? “I’m layering a lot of products to create a strong foundation, in order to give the hair hold while still creating an undone finish. Across the trio of styles, Jack layers up mousse and light-hold spray to add structure and hold before finishing with shine spray to enhance the colour vibrancy. “It’s a chic, casual look that’s very modern.”
